lizajane baby - classic custom clothing sizes newborn to 8 years

lizajane baby was born almost 4 years ago in my basement sewing room. Just like my own babies, I can't believe how much it has grown in such a short time. I started by making simple baby gifts like burp cloths and bibs. Quickly, I realized how much I wanted to see something I made come to life on a tiny little person. My son and his friends wore my newly designed baby clothes, but it wasn't long before they no longer fit in the baby category. After my second son came along, I couldn't help myself. I wanted to dress him in classic children's wear, but as a stay at home mom, boutique shopping wasn't a great idea. So I added more and more styles until I had created an entire line of children's clothing. Even with two sons, there was no way I could resist making dresses!

Even though I have extended my sizing to 8 years, the name remained the same as it was in the very beginning - lizajane baby. As far as lizajane goes, my sister made up the nickname for me when I was in 7th grade and it stuck. My first name is Elizabeth and my friends call me Liza. But there is no one named Jane.

I could not run this company without my two greatest business allies. Katy runs the sales department and spends hours researching designs, setting up and working trunk shows and keeping me on track with, well, everything. Cathy constructs the garments with careful attention to detail and impecable sewing talent. Both of these Moms are invaluable to lizajane baby and I have great appreciation for not only their work, but also their friendship.
